AMEB QUALIFIED with HIGH DISTINCTION in the Practise of Music (2014).
BLUE CARD VERIFIED.
I specialise in teaching children from 5 years old and adults looking to start from scratch, or reconnect with their piano playing.
I also have experience teaching children who are on the spectrum. Please do not hesitate to ask if you or your child has special needs.
Our current studio is not wheelchair accessible as we have stairs.

ABOUT ME
I am so happy to ANNOUNCE my PIANO STUDIO. 🎹 🖤
I'm a local actor, playwright & pianist.
I grew up in Canberra with your classic Tiger Mum - various piano Eisteddfods, competitions, concerts and exams. Notable achievements in my youth:
1st Place Australian National Eisteddfod
(Various Divisions, various years)
2nd Place Goulburn Eisteddfod (Solo Under 12s)
1st, 2nd Place - Taylor Music Festival, Miles Franklin Music Festival
All my AMEB exams were awarded Honours & High Distinction (A, A+)
I previously taught at the wonderful Harmonie Music School in Runcorn, Brisbane and have been running my private teaching business in Brisbane since 2019.
Several of my students have done exceptionally well on their AMEBs, and others have been accepted into Griffith's Young Conservatorium program. It’s been a pleasure watching them all progress musically.

Jazz is a great teacher, always cheerful and patient. She understood my needs and was happy to work around my schedule.

Jazz has been teaching our 3 kids for around 3 years now - she has become like part of the family! Jazz has always been very flexible around our busy schedule and takes our family chaos in her stride! Our eldest daughter is slowly working through her AMEB exams and Jazz has been a great tutor and motivator for her to achieve this. We were lucky enough to have Jazz recommended to us as a local piano and theory teacher for our two children. Jazz has a gentle and nurturing disposition, balanced with the ability to quickly recognise the capability of her students and adjust her expectations accordingly. Jazz is diligent in ensuring a well refined technique through scales and technical work, but also ensures her students are introduced to a range of musical styles in their pieces- as well as having fun!
As a musician myself (classical voice/ violin) I can attest to the quality of Jazz’s teaching.
My children were incredibly lucky to have Jazz as their music teacher for 3 years. Jazz consistently sets high expectations for her students while remaining attentive to their individual needs.
